PORTLAND, OR – One of Precoa’s preneed marketing programs gained unexpected national publicity this week when a Milwaukee television station story about a local “Pizza & Preplan” community education event was picked up by media outlets nationwide, including Fox News, the Today Show, Chicago Tribune, and Los Angeles Times.
The news coverage highlighted the success Krause Funeral Homes and Cremation Service has enjoyed with the unique lead generation strategy. As Krause’s preneed partner (since 2015), Precoa provides strategic planning, advertising, presentation, appointment-setting, and sales support for many of the funeral home’s community education events, including “Pizza & Preplan.”
These funeral home-sponsored events provide a more relaxed setting to learn the basics of advance planning. The informal gathering and comfort food help create a warmer, less-intimidating environment in which to start the conversation about death and importance of funeral service.
Despite the unprecedented national coverage, Krause isn’t the only Precoa partner to benefit from this type of lead generation approach.
In 2017, Precoa facilitated nearly 600 advertised community education events for 169 partners around the country. That included more than 150 “Pizza & Preplan” events, drawing over 1,900 attendees nationwide.
