In late February of 2018, Chris Johnson and Bryce Beach had successfully rolled out a travel plan product to the largest, privately owned funeral home and cemetery in the world within the preneed company they worked for at that time.  The roll-out was successful benefiting over 220 sales agents. During that time, Chris and Bryce saw an opportunity to improve upon the experience of the preneed agency, the funeral home and its representatives, as well as the families they serve.

“The product that we had just rolled out was a good product, but there were some obvious things that needed change in order for everyone to have a better experience. Bryce and I immediately saw an opportunity,” said Johnson. “We quickly started to do some research on what was available in the marketplace. Since our years of experience in the industry was in the preneed space, it was a natural fit to focus on the customer experience starting at the beginning with the point of sale and not just at the time of need.”

During this time of research, Johnson and Beach were able to make a connection with National Mortuary Shipping & Cremation; an Ohio based company with nearly 40 years of experience in at-need shipments and retrievals.   “When we made the connection with NMS, we learned of their experience in not just domestic cases, but also the continual increase in international cases,” stated Beach. “On top of everything else, we admired their character and their desire to go the extra mile for each and every client they serve.”
