Bruce Buchanan, owner; Tony Lloyd, president; and Ted Mau, vice president administration (L. to R.) are shown in the lobby of Flanner Buchanan’s new corporate office and operations center during its public open house on October 3 (top photo, attachment 1).   Located at 2020 Montcalm Street in Indianapolis’ Riverside Neighborhood, the office complex is a 32,000 square foot, 80-year-old structure whose classic mid-century architectural features were retained during the building’s renovation.  The state-of-the-art building also functions as a funeral and cremation center with multiple event rooms for services and community events. It is the only facility in the county that combines offices, a crematory and funeral, event and care center. Founded in 1881, Flanner Buchanan is a family-owned business with 13 event facilities located throughout Indianapolis.

Bruce Buchanan (L.) owner of Flanner Buchanan, is shown taking local pastor Dr. Katurah Worrill Johnson on a tour of the new cremation center during the October 3 public open house of Flanner Buchanan’s new corporate office and operations center (bottom photo, attachment 2)  A 4th retort was added to accommodate the growing cremation business. The retort pictured on the right has an oversize capacity that will allow cremations up to 1000 lbs. It will eliminate the previous need to rely on a 3rd party to serve families.  Located at 2020 Montcalm Street in Indianapolis’ Riverside Neighborhood, the new office complex is a 32,000 square foot, 80-year-old structure whose classic mid-century architectural features were retained during the building’s renovation.  In addition to a cremation center, the state-of-the-art building also functions as a funeral center with multiple event rooms for services and community events.
