Jeanine Clapsaddle, MA, LMFT, CCLS is a Certified Child Life Specialist and Licensed
Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years’ experience working with pediatric
patients and their families, providing intervention and support throughout their course
of medical care, transition to home and bereavement experiences. She currently serves
as the Clinical Supervisor for the Child Life, Music Therapy and Healing Arts Program at
Arnold Palmer Medical Center in Orlando, Florida.
Patti Anewalt, PhD, LPC, FT, has been with Hospice & Community Care for 22 years.
As Director at the Pathways Center for Grief & Loss, Patti oversees a wide variety of
bereavement services for adults, children and teens, serving over 5500 individuals a
month. She oversees the Coping Kids & Teens program which provides individual and
group support, school grief groups, grief and crisis response trainings in the schools and
an overnight children’s bereavement camp she started in 1996.
Taryn Schuelke, CCLS, CPMT is the Bereavement Specialist on the Palliative Care
Service Team at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas where she specifically works
with siblings anticipating a death.

While we are still tweaking our programming, the program will offer an operational overview of the Charles C. Carson Center, US Port Mortuary, Dover, Delaware; the Personal Effects Depot, and the Fisher House were families await the return of their loved ones on their final journey home and the dignified transfer. We will also visit Arlington National Cemetery where there will be a formal wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers, as well as other special educational opportunities; a tour of our Nation’s Capitol with a focus on our national treasures and monuments honoring our servicemen and women. Saturday morning, participants will help to place in excess of 250,000 wreaths on the graves of our fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery. In the afternoon, several other optional events are in the planning stages. Saturday night will find everyone at Constitution Hall for the United States Navy Band’s Holiday tribute.
