Hosted annually, the Funeral Directors Convention and Expo consistently attracts funeral industry professionals across the Mid-Atlantic region. The 2019 Funeral Directors Convention and Expo is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17 through Thursday, September 19. We will be returning to Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In this increasingly competitive and litigious environment, possessing qualifications that set you apart from the rest of the industry is critical. The CANA Crematory Operations Certification Program (COCP) is the mark of distinction. Join us at Albany, NY (Location TBD) for the gold standard in certification.

You will gain extensive knowledge—technical, scientific, and legal—all of which is proactive prevention for future business problems. The class addresses major topic areas such as an overview of the cremation process, equipment and operations, the cremation process in detail, chain of custody, reducing legal risk, and environmental issues related to cremation. A detailed manual is also provided for use during class and serves as an important reference tool. Taught by industry experts, this program provides death care professionals of all backgrounds and levels of experience a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures that will help reduce the risk of litigation.

The Bereavement Cruise @ Royal Caribbean

The Bereavement Cruise is everything a cruise is with the added programming providing a grief conference for attendees. The conference is run by a team of top grief specialists, from across the country. The conference includes workshops, activities, a remembrance ceremony, a walk to remember, small group sessions, yoga, reiki, art projects and so much more.

The cost of the cruise is set by Royal Caribbean. The conference fee is $300.00 per person. The conference is held a state of the art conference center on board the ship. It is private space and only group attendees can attend. All reservations and registration is handled through Journeys of Hope Healing and Health.
